I'm an independent, integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist with my own practice. I also work as a counsellor and supervisor with local organisations, including the voluntary sector, charities, NHS and education as well as run my own therapeutic practice. I am a bereavement specialist and trainer. as well as lead trainer for Cruse. My core approach is Person Centred although other types of counselling are also employed at times to suit the needs of my clients. Whilst I support people with general most issues I also specialise in grief support (of all types) and run a Grief Café and a grief workshops for men. In addition I work as a supervisor with counsellors from a variety of supportive backgrounds.
Whatever your issue, talking about it may help. My counselling style supports clients to understand the way they feel, and recognise new ways of coping with their general well being or solutions to their issues.
I work with adults and young people on a one to one basis and in group settings. I support people whose issues are wide and varied; from anxiety and stress to grief and bereavement. Sessions are usually booked on a weekly or fortnightly basis to begin with but are ultimately arranged at the clients discretion.
I am available to see clients from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm Mon to Thursday. Sessions in the main are offered online, in the majority of cases via secure video platforms or by telephone. In person work is carried out in organisational settings and at times home visits made, but the latter will incur an extra cost. Walk and talk therapy is available as a counselling option as well.
I have developed and delivered NCFE and BTEC Counselling courses from level 1 to degree level and also offer CPD and training opportunities for counsellors and organisations.
