I offer in-person, online and telephone counselling to adults aged 18 and over, with in-person appointments available in Elson (Gosport), and Fareham Marina. You are welcome to stick to one style of session, or you can use a blend, which can be useful if you're not always local.
I am trained as an integrative counsellor using some of the skills from the following models of counselling: Person Centred, CBT, Psychodynamic, Psychoanalytic, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt. This means that I am able to tailor my approach to the individual needs of my clients, as what works really well for one person might not be the right fit for the next.
I tend to work using three main methods: the first is allowing you a safe space in which you can talk freely about the things you need to in whatever way you need to; secondly I can offer psychoeducation to help you to understand in real terms how our mental health can be impacted by the world around us, and how our bodies and minds can respond, e.g. how anxiety works, or how some traumatic events can affect us well after the event has ended; and thirdly, in working with you to learn some healthier skills and coping strategies to help you manage in future.
I have experience working with a wide variety of clients from different backgrounds; my particular areas of interest are anxiety and trauma, and working with neurodiverse clients, and veterans or currently serving military personnel.

For counsellors looking for supervision, I offer a free 30 minute consultation so that we can discuss your needs and to see if we think we'd work well together. My approach to supervision is compassionate and supportive, drawing on my work with a wide variety of clients, including complex work.
