I am currently employed as a mental health recovery worker, supporting adults to recover their wellbeing. I also work voluntarily within a children's counselling charity called Place2Be, where I counsel young people.

I have been interested in complementary therapies for over twenty years and have studied reiki, spiritual healing, holistic therapies and shamanic practice. I am also interested in mindfulness, nutrition, yoga and vibrational remedies. I am aiming to extend my practice to counselling children and young people by early 2019.

From personal experience I have learned that mental health needs as much attention as our physical health, and that the exploration of self is a lifelong affair. I first attended counselling skills training in my early twenties, and it seems a lifetime later that I am now finally able to professionally work with others. My interest in working with others is fuelled by my desire to see people become the best they can, and in fact, just to find a place where they finally be themselves.
