Hi my name is Elizabeth, I am a professionally qualified counsellor. I have a friendly, compassionate, and empathetic listening style.
Together we can work on how your worries, concerns or difficult issues impact on your life. We can explore options, strategies, and skills/tools that can encourage new ways of thinking and behaving, to help to resolve them and promote positive change.
Taking the first step can be challenging, our initial session will allow us to look at what has brought you to counselling and the area/s you wish to explore. It allows us to get to know each other so that you the client can decide if I am the counsellor for you.
The sessions focus on building a therapeutic relationship based on rapport and trust.
My knowledge and skills have developed through my therapeutic work on placement for my counselling course, and voluntary hours at MIND, in private practice, and through my work at a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service.
I provide an individual approach to your unique preferences based on your view of yourself, others, and the world.
Reflecting our views, opinions, thoughts, feelings, core values & beliefs, abd behaviour can help us address and work on change in areas that are preventing us from moving forward and achieving our full potential.

I made that difficult decision to start the counselling journey to make sense of my life.
This positive and invaluable experience in counselling I decided to retrain as a counsellor to enable me to support others as I had been supported.
