My approach is to offer you a therapeutic relationship in which you feel valued, supported and understood. By working alongside one another at a pace that is right for you, we can safely explore any difficult experiences, emotions, worries or fears, whether these are as a result of a historical/current trauma, or a one-off life event.
Talking can help you to set new goals, to see problems and worries from a clearer perspective. It can help you learn how to cope with life challenges better and to lessen the feeling of isolation and despair. Counselling can identify unhelpful thought patterns; it can help you modify your behaviour to allow for a happier and more contented future.
