I am a fully qualified and accredited counsellor and I have been working as a therapist for over eight years, in the disciplines of Counselling, Hypnotherapy and Play Therapy.
After gaining my degree in Psychology, I began using my skills to help improve the lives of others, working as a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant. Whilst taking a break from employment to have two children, I began training in hypnotherapy and counselling and quickly realised just how effective counselling can be in treating a large number of issues such as low self-esteem, anxiety and stress. Throughout my life I had suffered with all three of these problems and whilst personally undergoing both hypnotherapy and counselling I was shocked at the difference it made. So much so that I moved into specialising in these areas in order to help others the way I have been helped.
In 2016 I went on to complete a Masters Degree in Play Therapy and most recently, I returned to my counselling training, completing and Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. This included working for the well known and prestigious counselling charity Mind. I now combine my skills to offer services in counselling, hypnotherapy and parenting support.
Whatever has prompted you to seek support; I can provide a safe space in which to establish the kind of caring and trusting relationship you need in order to explore the problems facing you. We can work together to carefully identify, express and work trough the past or present events and relationships that may have caused your current difficulties, in order to allow you to create the future that you want.
