I know how hard it can be reaching out when things are tough. A lot of people I have worked with have come to me struggling with difficult situations in relationships, work or studies, with long-term health conditions, their children, parents and families. I truly believe that having professional counselling can help people overcome life’s obstacles and know from my own struggles that positive change is possible.

I work with both young adults and adults and have worked over the last 14 years in colleges, universities and in the voluntary sector, as a teacher, facilitator, counsellor, and Specialist Mental Health Mentor providing individual sessions as well as developing and running support groups and training programmes.

I have experience of working successfully with issues such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self-esteem and confidence, neurodiversity (autistic spectrum disorders and ADHD), being a carer, lone parenting, parenting a child with special educational needs, long-term health conditions, relationship difficulties, bullying, and loneliness.

I work tailoring the counselling approaches I use to suit your individual needs and personality. I work alongside you to gain awareness of the thoughts, behaviours and patterns that aren’t supporting you to move forward in your life or to overcome a particular situation.

  Masters in Applied Drama with Distinction (Drama in Education and Drama as Social Intervention), Exeter University.
  Non Medical Helpers Training in Autism (National Autistic Society)
  Mental Health First Aid Champion, MHFA England
  Introduction to Integrative Sandplay Studies, Association of Integrative Sandplay Therapists
  Training in trauma, bereavement, suicide prevention and self-harm.
