Hi,
I'm John and thank you for choosing to read my profile.

There are many people who come to counseling for many different reasons. Maybe you have lost a loved one ? or been through a difficult time with a partner or an ex-partner ? maybe you have had a serious illness or been in a serious accident ? Maybe you are dealing with thoughts around events that occurred in the past or maybe you just feel anxious and you don’t really know why. Whatever the reason, often the first step is just talking about it. My practice offers you a safe space where you can feel secure. Where you can talk and you will be heard with empathy and without judgment.

I became a counselor partly because of my own experiences of counseling, which I found extremely beneficial in my life. I have always been fascinated by and had a desire to work with people and to assist them on their journey of self-discovery.

I am an integrative counselor, which means I use different techniques or modalities to offer my clients the best support possible when working with them.

If you come to work with me, I think of it as a journey of discovery that we go on together, where you can feel free to explore any of the issues that are concerning you. Doing this in your own time and at your own pace, secure in the knowledge that it will always be a safe and confidential space.

Sometimes by just looking at our issues in a fresh light, talking about them and exploring the feelings and emotions that accompany them, we can start to feel a shift around them. Perhaps it sounds like a small thing but these little shifts and insights can sometimes have a profound positive effect on us, as we start to learn more about ourselves.

Perhaps this is the journey we all go on in our lives as the Ancient Greeks used to say..

“Know Thyself”

If you do wish to work with me, please feel free to contact me using the details above.

Thank you for reading this far.

Warmest Regards.
