We all experience challenges and difficult times in our lives. During these times it can feel as if nobody understands us or knows what we are going through. This can feel isolating and lonely.
But you are not alone.
I provide a safe place where together we can explore what is troubling you and make sense of it - giving you the time and space to reflect on your needs.
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I recognize that we are all unique, with our own values, needs and lived experiences. This is fundamental to how I approach my work with clients, enabling me to tailor the tools and techniques I use within a session to best serve the person I am with.
I also have experience of working creatively, helping my clients to access unprocessed emotions and explore them in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
I offer support across a range of issues; from anxiety to stress, depression and low self-esteem. I specialise in working with loss and bereavement and the overwhelming emotions that can come with grief.
So many of our struggles can come from grief that has not been expressed. When we experience a significant loss or when somebody dies it can trigger a broad range of emotions. While grief is a natural process sometimes it may feel like you are "stuck" or that you don't feel the way you "should" feel. It is important during these times to be kind to yourself and recognise that there is not right or wrong way to feel.
Grief can be complex.
- It may feel that you need support in finding a new way of living without the person that has died.
- It may be trying to reach a point of acceptance.
- You might need a safe place to say the words that can never be said.
I can provide a supportive space to untangle your thoughts and feelings. We will work at your pace; helping you to take steps forward on your own journey.
