Mr Ianto McGuckin

Member Status: Accredited

Member No: NCS18-07410

Location: Congleton

I am subscribed to multiple Accredited Registers (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, National Counselling Society) that have been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. Accreditation demonstrates my commitment to high professional standards, to enhancing safety and delivering a better service. I hold an MSc from Keele University, itself a BACP accredited course. I have worked with Macmillan (Leighton, Crewe), supporting cancer patients, staff, carers, family members, the bereaved and many others. I have a lot of very varied life-experience, and I began to study counselling after various personal losses and traumas, learning not only that it IS 'good to talk' - it can be vital. I believe that a client needs their own space to discover themselves and understand what they need, and though I can help facilitate this process, you must be prepared to work for yourself within therapy, and reap your own rewards. I feel it is most important that you find the right therapist for you before you begin your journey of healing.
