Hello my name is Louise and welcome to my profile

I work in private practice from the lovely little seaside town of Hythe, in Kent.

To me therapy is a healing relationship shared by two people not a new invention but an ancient practice.

The way that I work has evolved over many years and incorporates methods not only from my years of counsellor training but from my own very personal healing journey that encompasses thirty plus years.

From my own experiences in life this has given me a deeper understanding of how it feels not to feel ok or good enough.

As we are living in an increasingly traumatised society and the feelings of disconnection both within ourselves and in relationships with others have never felt greater. We are relational beings and need each other and to feel that connection in order to survive and flourish.

I recognise that as quite complex human beings our worries are as different as the many counselling approaches on offer so at the heart of my work is the creation of a space where a healing relationship can evolve and this is the container through which all other aspects of our work can unfold.

I know that it can feel uncomfortable and scary to make initial contact so please do get in touch. We can have an informal chat about what’s troubling you. I can assure you that it won't be as uncomfortable as you may think.

Take good care
Louise x
