Although initially CBT was my chosen model I found working as an integrative counsellor presented the most effective means for change. Offering the traits of Person Centred Therapy alongside the skills and techniques of CBT have been powerful in helping clients, particularly those suffering emotional issues such as anxiety, low self esteem or depression. I find CBT, not only offers us the opportunity of a better interaction but also feel the teaching aspect, which enables clients the opportunity to build their own coping mechanisms that they may take away with them, is particularly useful, especially when working with clients on a short-term basis.
I have over 9 years experience helping children and young people overcome mental health issues. Guided discovery, empowerment, exploring coping techniques and strategies have been effective in helping them to deal with situations and emotions in a healthier manner.

Supervision seemed a natural progression and since qualifying in 2019 I have gained experience of working both one to one and group therapy, offered to a variety of professions.
