Does any of this sound familiar?
You are very self-critical
You usually imagine the worst case scenario
You overthink decisions
You find negative feedback very hard to handle
You replay your interactions repeatedly
You find it hard to put worries aside
If your answer is yes, you are experiencing anxiety to some degree. If anxiety is getting in your way, the above may well lead to excessive worry when encountering situations like –
Travelling and/or going out
Interacting with unfamiliar people or going to new places
Starting or joining conversations
Making eye contact
Showing anxious symptoms
Making a mistake in public
If you regularly rearrange your life in order to avoid these and other situations, anxiety is interfering with day to day life. Counselling can help.
Using a combination of counselling and coaching, my Anxiety therapy can help you to:
Manage panic attacks
Increase your confidence
Decrease the overly critical voice
Teach you how to be assertive
Receive criticism without being broken by it
Break out of isolation
Make the most of your life
Put most simply- Your confidence will increase allowing you to deal with the new, make decisions and engage in relationships without the over-thinking and fear.
Counselling will take a commitment of your time and money so, it is always worth considering whether it is the right time for you. I offer an initial session at reduced cost so we can meet, see how we get along and, decide how you would like to proceed.
If you are ready, I can help.
