I am experienced in working with clients with a range of presenting issues, including anxiety, low mood and depression, low self-esteem, and complex bereavement, including those bereaved by the death of a child (including miscarriage, medical termination and stillbirth) and those bereaved by murder or suicide; trauma work (including post-traumatic stress disorder), self-harm and suicidal thoughts. I am Neuro-divergent and have Neurofibromatosis (NF1), a neuro-genetic disorder, and have worked with many clients with appearance-related issues including disfigurement. I have 25 years of experience working with Autistic clients and Neurodivergent across the lifespan.
I am a full member of the World Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), working towards certification status. I have experience working with TGNB folk, including intersex individuals.
I am programme lead on MA Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice at Liverpool John Moores University and am currently studying towards a Professional Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies at Chester University.
