I am experienced in working with clients with a range of presenting issues including anxiety, low mood and depression, low self-esteem, complex bereavement; including those bereaved by the death of a child (including miscarriage, medical termination and stillbirth) and those bereaved by murder or suicide; trauma work (including post-traumatic stress disorder), self- harm and suicidal thoughts. I am Neuro-divergent and have Neurofibromatosis (NF1), a neuro-genetic disorder, and have worked with many clients with appearance related issues including disfigurement. I have 25 years experience working with clients with Autism Spectrum Conditions across the life span.
I am programme lead on MA Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice at Liverpool John Moores University and am currently studying towards a Professional Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies at Chester University.
