As a highly experienced, BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to offer you the empathy and understanding you need to become the person you want to be. I am professionally trained in Person-centred, Gestalt, Existential, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural approaches which means I can offer short and long term therapy, tailored to suit your individual needs.

I offer face-to-face sessions but understand that for some people this may difficult so I can also provide online or telephone counselling sessions. I am a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere strictly to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professionals. I understand the courage it takes to contact a counsellor so I continuously strive to provide the best therapeutic experience to my clients.

Since qualifying I have worked in private practice and a variety of organisations specialising in addiction, domestic violence, school counselling and mental health. I am also a fully qualified teacher (QTLS) and trainer working in Adult Education where I deliver and manage a range of courses including counselling (levels 1 - 5), mental health awareness, substance misuse awareness, understanding suicide, mindfulness, understanding self-harm and many more. I am also the Clinical Supervisor for the Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and Designated Safeguarding Lead.

  • Qualifications & Experience
    I have a BA (Hons) in Counselling and a Level 5 Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I also hold qualifications in a number of other specialised areas including mental health, substance misuse, safeguarding, social care and life coaching. My therapeutic background is in depression, anxiety, life changes, mental health and addiction. I have over a decade of professional experience, achieving excellent outcomes with a broad range of issues including: Abandonment, Abuse/domestic violence, Addiction and Relapse, Anxiety,
    Bereavement, Depression, Divorce/Separation, Drug and alcohol misuse, Life changes, Loss,
    Low self-esteem, Postnatal Depression, Relationship difficulties/issues and Stress. I am a member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere strictly to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professionals.
