As a late-diagnosed autistic person, with ADHD traits, I can offer my clients a deep understanding of the Neurodivergent experience, whether it's coping with the common difficulties of anxiety, low self-esteem and a feeling of just not 'fitting in', or more autism/ADHD specific problems, like difficulties with socialising or making friends.
Other common difficulties I have helped autistic and ADHD clients with include:
* Chronic worry & anxiety
* Low self-esteem
* Experiencing bullying
* Trouble with organisation
* Work problems
* Insomnia
* Understanding your diagnosis
* Developing coping skills
In addition to my own lived experiences of autism/ADHD, I have also raised three autistic child and spent over 20 years involved in the autism/ADHD and carers communities, so you can be confident I won't judge you and I will try to listen and understand.
Like many Neurodivergent people, I am also part of the LGBTQiA community and have lived experience of trans and non-binary friends and loved-ones. I have undertaken extra training to better support trans and gender variant clients.
I mainly work online or over the phone so we can arrange a time that suits you. I have a face-to-face counselling room in St Neots, Cambridgeshire for clients in the area.
If you would like to talk to me about your issues, or want to refer someone else to me who you think I could help, please get in touch (contact details above).
