A very warm welcome to Lucy Perkins Counselling. My pronouns are she / her.
I am a Humanistic counsellor based in Devon and providing online therapy across the UK.
I offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space for you to explore whatever it may be that’s troubling you and I will endeavour to empower you to find the solutions and contentment you’re seeking. My approach is relaxed and supportive. I primarily work with the Person Centred Model, meaning we go at your pace and our sessions are led by you. You are your own expert after all and my role, is to get alongside you, to help you explore and find clarity.
I have extensive experience working with eating disorders and deliberate self-harm and can offer Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RO-DBT) alongside Humanistic counselling. This is similar to standard DBT and was developed to help and support people to manage eating disordered behaviours. RO-DBT can be particularly helpful for those suffering with anorexia.
Additionally, I have specialist training and experience working with gender identity and can offer support for those experiencing gender incongruence and questioning, or their loved ones.
Please visit my website for more details on how I work and what I can offer.
