CAN I HELP YOU?
Can you put aside an hour - weekly, fortnightly, or monthly - to talk through what’s worrying you, weighing you down, or keeping you low? If so, I may be able to help you. I’m a Person-Centred Counsellor, trained and qualified to put you and your concerns first, without judging you for what you say. You may be worried about something you’ve wrestled with for some time – a change in a close relationship, a loss of trust, a transition in life, a drop in motivation, or just plain hopelessness. If so, talking about it may help.

WILL I UNDERSTAND YOU AND YOUR CONCERNS?
While you’re talking, I’ll sit with you face to face or via video link and listen carefully as I try to understand what it is like to live life in your shoes. Not sure what to expect? Counselling is rarely the way it’s depicted in TV dramas. If you’re brave enough to share your psychological struggles, I’ll be approachable and supportive and, when necessary, challenging. I guarantee that I’ll accept you for who you are and treat you respectfully, as an equal. I’d say I’m a feet-on-the-ground-head-in-the-clouds kind of person. Besides, you can have a free, 30-minute taster session to assess whether you think we can work together with your concerns. Please give me a call, or send me an email.

AM I QUALIFIED, REGISTERED, INSURED AND UP TO DATE?
Yes to all four. I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Warwickshire College, gained over four years’ training. I’m an Accredited Registrant with The National Counselling Society, work to the NCS Code of Ethics and receive supervision once a month from a very experienced counsellor. I’m insured with Holistic Insurance. I believe in lifelong learning, so Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is crucial for me. I’m currently exploring new and exciting areas I think can complement the Person-Centred work I do with my clients:
Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) – learning to listen to different aspects of personality and heal through accessing Self-energy
Polyvagal Theory – learning to understand and regulate energy levels by attending to bodily feelings

WHAT DO I STAND FOR?
I believe in therapeutic counselling because it’s helped me personally. I’ve had ‘professional help’ myself, when I’ve needed it.
