I am particularly skilled at working with clients with relationship issues, especially, but not exclusively, with men. I am qualified to work with children, young people and adults.
I am trained as an integrative psychotherapist; this means that I use different ways of working depending on the client’s needs. These include humanistic, relational psychodynamic, cognitive behaviour therapy or transactional analysis. I wouldn’t expect you to know these terms, but you’re welcome to research them to understand more. I encourage all my clients to keep a journal, log or diary as clients tend to get the best from the therapy when they are also engaged in it outside of our sessions. Sometimes we need to look at old patterns of behaviour, but I try and encourage a solution focused approach and will often ask you about what you’re hoping to seek from counselling.
