Why work with me?

Research tells us that the most powerful thing in a therapuetic relationship is the development of that relationship itself. Healing comes through the development of a trusting relationship that provides a balanced two -way process, where you feel heard, seen and understood. We can unravel whats going on for you together.

This particular piece of feedback might describe my approach better than I can!

"What sets Bev apart from others is her exceptional ability to listen and understand. She has a unique talent for creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where I feel comfortable opening up and exploring the root causes of my challenges. Her compassionate and empathetic approach has been essential in helping me to identify thought patterns that stem from my early childhood, which were affecting my every day."

I am Person-centred and Integrative in my theoretical approach. Psychodynamic theory, attachment and Transcactional Analysis alongside Schema Therapy and CBT are what make up the integrative.

I have advanced training in Trauma Therapy which includes Attachment Based Therapy, Inner Child work and I am neuroscience informed.

I am a qualified (Licensed) counsellor with MNCS (Accred) and MBACP membership.

I can work with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, career issues, phobias and agoraphobia, grief and bereavement and relationship issues amongst many more.

Recently I have trained in AMDR which is a branch of EMDR for trauma therapy. It comes from a Cognitive Hypnotherapy based approach.

  • Qualifications & Experience
I have a Degree in Psychology, a Post Graduate Certificate in Mentoring and Counselling and the Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. I am currently studying an advance trauma course and already have gained my level 1 CCTP in working with Trauma. Therefore my work is trauma informed.
