I began my training in 2002 and. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including addictions, grief, loss and bereavement, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I have also helped many adults and children and young people who have experienced physical trauma and/or emotional and sexual abuse.
My therapy style is to help you feel at ease in the process of therapy, and for you to experience safety and trust in me, and in yourself, and I believe that you are the expert in you, I often describe the process of therapy as something like, we are walking along a garden path together, and I am clearing away the brambles to reveal something that you already know, but were just unable to see. I believe in treating each individual with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, My approach is integrative using a foundation of Person Centred Therapy, CBT, and a Body Centred Approach, I have over six years experience in The Hakomi Psychotherapy method, I integrate all the above and include my Continuing Professional Development Training in Couple and Family Therapy, and The Compassionate Enquiry Approach and I will adjust my approach to meet your unique and specific needs.
