Location: Faringdon

I have a small practice in Oxford and Faringdon to which I welcome people of all gender identities, sexual practices and orientations, and relationship structures, and I am kink-knowledgeable. I work gently and compassionately with a wide range of issues including trauma, abuse, relationship issues, anxiety, self-harm, dissociation, disordered eating, difficulty relating to others, and struggling to find meaning in life. Therapy can also provide a wonderful opportunity to understand ourselves better, resulting in a better quality of life, and more satisfying and affirming connections with others.

My approach is psychodynamic and relational. This means I believe in the value of paying attention to what might be going on ‘under the surface’ in ourselves, in our relationships, and in social groups, as well as to our conscious thought processes and choices. My practice is also trauma-informed, and I am experienced in working with abuse and trauma.

I come to my work with humility and curiosity, and recognise that each therapeutic relationship is unique. I believe that building trust and a solid foundation is crucial for that relationship, so I work with you to create a space that feels safe enough for you to explore whatever you think is important. It is always up to you to set the agenda.

I work hard to practise in an anti-oppressive way, which means I actively explore my power and privilege, and what that brings to bear on my actions and words, both in and outside the consulting room.

I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Practice and many years’ experience of activism and work with survivors of sexual violence, and in queer and kink communities.

If you would like to explore working with me, please contact me to arrange a free 15 minute call. During this call I will ask what brings you to therapy at this time, and you will have the opportunity to ask me questions. If you are interested in working with me but can’t afford my usual fee, please get in touch as my rates are flexible.
